I got in late to the webinar, but I think students could crowdsource an essay together?  I've had them use Google Docs to create lists and brainstorm together, but crowdsourcing an essay would give them great practice in editing and transitioning.

I think this would be something to use in my class with learning disabled students.  I could assign a small portion of a blog to each student, so they aren’t so overwhelmed with an assignment all to themselves.  It’s a great way to incorporate group work.
